Tell us your day-to-day tasks.
My responsibilities are divided into three areas.
The first is the commercial part, where with a team of 15 people, we manage the accounts in the markets of France, Benelux, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe.
The second area is the purchasing of natural molecules, vegetable oils, and oleoresins.
Finally, I am part of the Bionats team, the biotechnology department where we develop EU natural molecules through fermentation, in Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona.
What sets Ventós apart in the market?
Ventós has a great team of buyers that allows us in the commercial department to provide an express delivery service for around 3,600 products, both natural and synthetic. With a safety stock of about 4 months (in 11 warehouses around the world), Ventós can support its customers even during difficult times, such as the pandemic or when facing shipment delays and longer delivery times than usual.
What do you like most about your work?
I love working with people, and Ventós has a great team, very human and professional. Knowing you can count on your team makes the 8-hour workday enjoyable and motivates you to put in your best effort. Another aspect I like is the variety of work, between purchasing, sales, conferences, and fairs—it's impossible to get bored!
Of the 3.000 products we have in stock, what is your favourite?
I love the scent of ethylene brassylate and galaxolides. I could use them as a perfume :).
What smells transport you back to your childhood?
The smell of kefir reminds me a lot of my childhood.
What is your ideal vacation destination? What would your perfect vacation be like?
Any destination with nature where I can enjoy diving, hiking in the mountains, or observing animals in their habitat.
What is the main trait of your character?
Tenacity.
What style of music do you listen to? Who is your favorite singer?
I enjoy jazz, bossa nova, and gospel. I like to relax by listening to an Australian group, Hillsong, whose songs have a very deep spiritual and emotional message.
What is your favorite pastime?
I love walking with my boxer dog. Recently, I started taking swing dance classes, which I highly recommend to everyone!
If a film director offered you to make a movie about your life, who would you like to play your character?
Jennifer Lawrence... I love her naturalness and spontaneity.
Would you prefer to travel to the past or to the future?
I am learning to enjoy the present... but if I had to choose, I would travel to the past to meet my great-grandparents and thank them for paving the way. The future is better left unknown; perhaps we are not ready for some things that are yet to come.
