In this interview we will learn a little about the most personal facet of our Global Operations, Pol Kvam.

Pol KvamHow long have you been working at Ventos?
Exactly six years.

Explain to us your day-to-day management.
II am dedicated to coordinating the operations of our subsidiaries. My day-to-day work includes operational support for our 7 warehouses, problem-solving,  data analysis and the implementation of joint strategies for the development of our international operations.

What differentiates Ventos in the market?
Our level of service and adaptability to customer needs is unmatched in the F&F market.

What do you like most about your job?
Learning from all the cultures and ways of doing things that I am in contact with. Also, to travel the world meeting such diverse people is certainly a privilege. I have a lot of admiration and respect for my colleagues abroad.

What is your favorite fruit? Your favorite flower?
Olives and grapes. Both are, inseparably, the fundamental basis of Mediterranean culture. Their cultivation and the production of their derivatives (oil and wine) have determined and still determine us much more than we can imagine. Without going any further, the town where we are headquartered was mainly dedicated to grape growing and wine exportation until less than 100 years ago. As for the flower, the orange blossom, as much as Miguel Hernandez sang about it.

What smells take you back to your childhood?
The genista.

Your ideal vacation destination?
The Pyrenees. Although I really enjoy visiting my family in Norway.

Main traits of your character?
I would like to say adaptability.

What style of music do you listen to? Favorite singer?
A wide spectrum... From Caribbean music (son, ska) to peninsular music (rumba, habanera, flamenco). Currently Pep Gimeno.

What is your favorite hobby?
I like to be surrounded by people.

If a film director offered you a movie about your life, which actor or actress would you like to be your character?
José Luis Manzano.

Would you prefer to travel to the past or to the future?
I prefer to live in the present.
