Meet Ameya, Ventós India's Sales Manager


In this interview we will learn a little about the most personal facet of our Sales Manager, Ameya Prabhu.

My name is Ameya Prabhu, Sales Manager.

How long have you been working at Ventós?
Since January 2025.

Tell us about your day-to-day tasks:
I answer several enquiries for aroma chemicals and essential oils, from customers who visit the Ventós website, also those we proactively approach. Apart from this I also ensure fulfilment of contracts and encourage customers to expand the portfolio of products they buy from Ventós.

What sets Ventós apart in the market?
Ventós has the biggest network of suppliers which gives it the ability to keep up with the latest product developments, continuously adding new products in its portfolio.

What do you like most about your job?
Every day brings with it the opportunity to learn about and offer a new product.

Out of the 3,500 products we have in stock, which one is your favorite?
That’s a tough one,but I’d say Tonalid. I grew up watching my father sell this product, it is also the first F&F product that I learned about.

What scents take you back to your childhood?
Night blooming Jasmine, also called Cestrum Nocturnum. My grandmother planted the tree outside our house, the flower blooms in the night and drops off the tree in the morning, creating a natural white carpet with the fragrance of Jasmine.

What is your ideal holiday destination? What would your perfect vacation look like?
Lakshadweep, it is an archipelago off the coast of India famous for coral reefs. A perfect vacation would be scuba diving to the coral reefs and swimming in the open sea.

Is there a talent or fun fact about you that people are usually surprised to learn?
I love to dance and have participated in several dance events.

What kind of music do you listen to? Favorite singer?
Punjabi and Hindi music. Favorite Singer Diljit Dosanjh.

What is your favorite hobby?
I enjoy wildlife watching and go on a safari every year.

What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?
Never think of a deal after you make it, you will always feel you could have done better.

If you could have a superpower for a day, what would it be and why?
Telepathy, since the ability to read minds can help us take better decisions.
