Cinnamon, a common spice which has been used in international cuisine for a very long time, is the bark from the Cinnamomum zeylanicum. This tree which can grow up to 15 meters is originally from Sri Lanka. From the distillation of its leaves, you obtain what we call the cinnamon leaf oil. Its use in certain applications has been restricted due to its content in safrole. This is why we have decided to remove the safrole from the cinnamon leaf oil, in order to guarantee its use.
