Steam distillation
Vetiver oil is obtained by steam distillation of the clean and previously dried roots of Vetiveria zizanoides cultivated and distilled in Haiti. The quality of the oil is related to the age of the roots and the length of the distillation process. A harvesting of a minimum of two years is required. Vetiveryl acetate, ex Vetiver Haiti is obtained by acetylation and special fractioned rectification of Vetiver oil Haiti and has a long lasting, very rich, fragrant, extremely woody and amber-like notes.
