Litsea cubeba is a native tree from China and Southeast Asia related to Laurel tree family. The little fruits of this plants, similar to pepper fruits , are used for its distillation to obtain a lemony essential oil. The oil is used in traditional Chinese medicine, where it is known as May Chang oil.It can be used to get a citrus fresh accords and it is also used in flavours for its citrus scent similar to lemon.
